Indian Chicken Stir-Fry

Learn how to spice up simple chicken stir-fry with basic Indian spices and make it healthy with vegetables of your choice.


Oil 3 Tablespoon
Cumin seeds 1/2 Teaspoon , crushed
Coriander seeds 1/2 Teaspoon , crushed
Onions 1 Medium , chopped
Ginger 1 Inch , chopped
Garlic cloves 2 Medium , chopped
Salt To Taste
Turmeric 1/4 Teaspoon
Red chili powder To Taste
Chicken 250 Gram , cut into small pieces
Broccoli florets 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Brussel sprouts 1 Cup (16 tbs) , chopped
Red bell pepper 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) , chopped
Chicken stock 2 Tablespoon
Garam masala 1/2 Teaspoon
Black pepper powder 1/2 Teaspoon
For garnishing
Green onions 2 Tablespoon , chopped
Cilantro 2 Tablespoon , chopped



1. Heat a pan with 3 tbsp oil, when oil is hot enough add 1/2 tsp each of cumin and coriander seeds (crushed).

2. When they splutter, add chopped onions, ginger and garlic.

3. Add salt, turmeric and red chili powder. Mix these spices well.

4. Add the chicken pieces, stir and saute until the pieces turn white on the outside.

5. Add the broccoli florets, brussels sprouts and red bell pepper. Stir on high heat for 2 minutes.

6. Add 2 tbsp chicken stock. Continue stirring on high heat until all the ingredients are cooked and tender.

7. Add garam masala and black pepper powder. Stir to mix well.

8. Garnish with chopped green onions and cilantro.


9. Serve over rice or noodles.
