Carrot Vada

Ingredients

Ash gourd 1 Cup (16 tbs) , grated
Carrot 1 Cup (16 tbs) , grated
Wheat flour 3/4 Cup (12 tbs)
Gram flour 3/4 Cup (12 tbs)
Ginger 1 Tablespoon , grated
Green chiles 2 , chop
Chili powder 1 Teaspoon
Onion 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) , finely chopped
Salt To Taste
Yogurt 1 Tablespoon
Oil 1 Cup (16 tbs) (For deep frying)

Directions

MAKING

1. Squeeze out the water from the grated ash gourd and set aside.

2. Grind the ginger and green chilies to a fine paste.

3. In a bowl, mix together all the ingredients except oil along with yogurt. The consistency should be thick.

4. Roll out into small balls and flatten slightly.

5. Heat oil in a pan. Deep dry the vadas until light brown.

SERVING

6. Serve along with chutney for breakfast or as a snack.
