Kanda Vada

Spring onions/2 medium onions 2 Bunch (200 gm)
Garlic flakes 4
Ginger piece 1/2 Inch
Soda 1 Pinch
Green chilies 4
Coriander leaves 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) , chopped
Turmeric powder 1/2 Teaspoon
Salt To Taste
Chilli powder To Taste
Gram flour 3 Tablespoon (Or As Needed)
Oil 2 Cup (32 tbs) (For Deep Frying)



1) Make a paste of ginger and garlic.

2) Chop onions, chillies and coriander leaves finely.

3) Now, mix together all the ingredients and flour as needed to bind the batter.

4) Make patties of the batter and deep fry them.


5) Serve kanda vadas with your favorite chutney or plain tomato ketchup.


Do not use water to bind the vadas.
