Akki Vade Rice Vada

Ingredients

Rice 1 Kilogram
Split black gram 250 Gram
Salt 50 Gram
Cumin 20 Gram
Green chilies 20 Gram
Coriander 1 Bunch (100 gm)
Oil 4 Cup (64 tbs) (For Deep Frying)

Directions

1. Wash the rice, dry, then grind to powder.

2. Soak black gram in water for 1 hour, then grind it to make a thick paste.

3. Mix rice powder with this paste to make a thick paste. Add salt and ground cumin, chillies and coriander. Press small portions of this paste on a banana leaf in the palm of the hand and fry in oil till they float on the surface.
