In Hindi, which is a common language of North India, potato is known as Aloo and spinach is called Palak. Hence, this is known as Aloo Palak Sabji or Spinach Potato Fry. Aloo Palak is an everyday food during the season of spinach, so I have used little amount of spices and vegetable oil to make it nutritious and healthy even after cooking. Potato 250 Gram
Spinach 500 Gram
Green chili 1
Coriander powder 1/2 Teaspoon
Vegetable oil 1 Tablespoon
Turmeric powder 1 Teaspoon
Salt To Taste


Step 1: Wash and then peel off the potato skin.

Step 2: Cut the potatoes into small pieces

Step 3: Wash the spinach properly and shred it into small pieces

Step 4: Heat the wok and add one teaspoon of vegetable oil

Step 5: Cut a green chilli and put it in the heated pot and fry for 15 sec.

Step 6: Mix the cut vegetables in the wok and add a small amount of water (50ml)

Step 7: Add coriander powder and turmeric powder

Step 8: Add salt to taste and then stir to mix properly and close the lid

Step 9: After 10 minutes, open the lid.

Step 10: Your healthy and Green Aloo Palak is ready to serve.
