Parippu Vada has a great taste. Parippu Vada gets its taste from gram mixed with chili powder and onion. Parippu Vada is inspired by many food joints around the world.

Black gram | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) (Uzhunnuparippu) | |
Chilly powder | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Green chilies | 2 | |
Bengal gram | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) (Kadalaparippu) | |
Ginger | 1 Inch | |
Red gram | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) (Thuvzraparippu) | |
Onion | 1 Large | |
Oil | 2 Cup (32 tbs) (For Deep Frying) | |
Salt | To Taste |
Take the dais in a bowl.
Soak in water for about 2 hrs.
Crush them together to make a thick paste.
Water must not be added while crushing.
Put in ginger, onions, green chilly, turmeric powder, curry leaves and chilly powder.
Add salt.
Blend thoroughly.
Make balls from the paste.
Then shape them into patties.
It is better to wet your hands while doing it.
Heat oil in a pan.
Add the patties.
Deep fry till they turn golden brown in color.
