This is a traditional spice blend for making Sorpotel. Make it ahead and store it in the fridge. Here are the ingredients and steps to make this recipe!

Ingredients

Red kashmiri chilies 25
Cloves 6 Small
Peppercorns 10
Cinnamon piece 1 Inch
Cumin seeds 1 Teaspoon
Turmeric 1 Teaspoon
Garlic 8 Clove (40 gm)
Ginger piece 1 Inch
Tamarind ball 1 Tablespoon , soaked in 1 cup water
Vinegar 1 Cup (16 tbs)

Directions

MAKING:                        

In a food processor/ blender, combine chiles, cloves, peppercorns, cinnamon, cumin, turmeric and grind well.

Add ginger, garlic, tamarind water, vinegar (in 2 batches) and grind until smooth.

 

SERVING:                       

Make awesome Goan curry, serve and enjoy!
