Learn how to make Maharashtrian style Bombil Batata Bhaji recipe - a quick and easy dry (suke) bombil preparation from our chef Archana on Ruchkar Mejwani.


Oil 4 Tablespoon
Onion 1 , chop
Turmeric 1/2 Teaspoon
Green chutney 1 Tablespoon
Coriander leaves 2 Tablespoon
Potato 1 , chop
Bombay duck fish 8 (dry, suke bombil)
Salt To Taste
Masala mix 1 Tablespoon
Water 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)



1. First soak the bombil pieces in water for half an hour.


2. In a pan heat some oil.

3. Once the oil is hot add chopped onion. Saute well.

4. Then add turmeric powder, green chutney paste & coriander leaves. Mix everything well.

5. Add chopped potatoes, bombil pieces, salt & mix masala. Mix everything well.

6. Add little water and mix well.

7. Cover it with a lid and let everything cook for 10 minutes.


8. Bombil Batata Bhaji is ready to be served!
