Learn how to make Ragda Patties a popular spicy street food chaat recipe from our chef Archana on Ruchkar Mejwani. Ragda Patties is an easy to make Indian snack at home.


For patties:
Boiled potatoes 3 , mash
Turmeric powder 1/4 Teaspoon
Coriander leaves 1 Tablespoon
Salt To Taste
For ragda:
White peas 250 Gram
Oil 3 Teaspoon
Ginger garlic paste 1 Tablespoon (Ginger Garlic Crush)
Onion 1 , chop
Turmeric powder 1/2 Teaspoon
Cumin powder 1 Tablespoon
Coriander powder 1 Tablespoon
Red chilli powder 1 Tablespoon
Water 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)




1. In a bowl add mashed potatoes, coriander leaves, turmeric powder & salt. Mix everything and make a soft dough.

2. Make flat balls of the dough.

3. Shallow fry the patties on both the sides.



1. In a pan heat some oil.

2. Add ginger garlic crush, chopped onion, turmeric powder & salt. Mix everything well.

3. Add cumin seed powder, coriander seed powder & red chilli powder. Saute everything well.

4. Add white peas & water.

5. Let the ragda simmer for sometime.


6. Serve Ragda Patties garnished with chutneys.
