Gluten free, Vegan, Protein rich, Fibre rich and flavourful..this Lentils soup is easy to make and it stores really well.
|Lentil||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Mustard seeds||1 Teaspoon|
|Tomatoes||2 , chopped finely|
|Ginger||1 Tablespoon , chopped finely|
|Garlic||1 Tablespoon , chopped finely|
|Red chili powder||1 Teaspoon|
|Roasted cumin powder||1 Teaspoon|
|Turmeric powder||1 Teaspoon|
|Water||6 Cup (96 tbs)|
|Cilantro leaves||1 Tablespoon , for garnish|
1. Heat oil in a cooker. Add mustard seeds. Give 1-2 mins.
2. Add onions, ginger and garlic. Add spices. Mix well. Give them 3-4 mins.
3. Add tomatoes and cook them well. Add lentils. Add 6 cups of water.
4. Close the lid and cook for 2-3 whistles. Let the cooker cool down and then open it.
5.Garnish with cilantro leaves and serve warm.
