Chicken Cafreal Collab Video With Aunty Maggy From RozzCity

Chicken is slathered in a luscious green paste made by grinding herbs, chillies and spices together with coconut vinegar and tamarind paste, before cooking. In this special collaboration, Karen Ahmed gets a surprise call from Aunty Maggy who accuses her of captivating her husband Silluu. Aunty Maggy is played by the very talented Rozzlin Pereira.

Chicken drumsticks 15
Cumin 1 Teaspoon
Black peppercorns 1 Teaspoon
Cloves 1 Teaspoon
Cinnamon stick 1 Inch
Khus khus 2 Teaspoon (White Poppy Seeds)
Haldi/Turmeric 1 Teaspoon
Coconut vinegar 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Garlic 8 Clove (40 gm)
Ginger sticks 1 Inch
Green chillies 4 Large
Chopped coriander 4 Cup (64 tbs) (1 large bunch, stems and leaves)
Tamarind 1 Inch , soaked in 1/4 cup water



Preheat oven and keep it ready.



In a frying pan, dry roast cumin seeds, peppercorns, cloves, cinnamon, khus khus and leave aside to cool.

Grind the spices once cooled.

In a food processor, combine vinegar, chillies, ginger, garlic and roughly blend together.

Add half the quantity of coriander, spice mixture, turmeric, soaked tamarind (removing seeds  if any), some water and blend well.

Make cuts on chicken and mix the prepared marinade with the meat.

Cover with cling film and allow to marinate for 4 hours to overnight in refrigerator.

Shallow fry on all sides and bake for 30 minutes.



Serve with potato and lemon wedges and enjoy!
