Garlic Naans Recipe In Tawa - Eggless Naan Recipe Without Oven and Tandoor

Garlic Naans, Indian flat bread - naans topped with garlic and coriander. These naans are usually served in all restaurants, the flat bread which is baked in a coal lighted clay oven named tandoor. As we don't have tandoors at home, In this video recipe, I will show how to make Garlic Naans at home using tawa and without eggs, oven and tandoor.

Ingredients

Flour 2 Cup (32 tbs)
Warm water 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) (Or as required)
Yeast 1/2 Tablespoon
Sugar 1 Tablespoon
Salt To Taste
Oil 1 Tablespoon
Garlic 1/3 Cup (5.33 tbs) (half chopped and half grated)
Chopped coriander 3 Tablespoon
Butter 1 Tablespoon (For brushing)

Directions

MAKING

1. Add sugar to warm water, followed by yeast. Mix well. Let the yeast proof for sometime.

2. Take four in a bowl, pour the yeast mix into the bowl. Knead to make a soft dough.

3. Add little bit oil and knead until its smooth. Keep in an oiled bowl. Cover and let the dough proof for about an hour.

4. Sprinkle some flour on top and punch the dough down.

5. Mix toether garlic and corainder for the topping.

5. Dust the dough and make dough balls.

6. Roll a dough ball and add some garlic and coriander topping on one side. Roll the naan such that the topping sticks to it.

7. Flip the naan and spread some water to the other side.

8. Place the naan with wet side on the hot tawa.

9. Let it rise for a bit. Invert the tawa and cook the other side on hot flame.

10. Lift the naan from the tawa when done.

SERVING

11. Brush butter over the naan and serve with the gravy of your choice.
