Chai - Indian Herb and Spice Tea for Winter

The word "chai," meaning "alive," or "living".
The flavors of traditional Indian spices and herbs are a perfect, creating delicious, rich and creamy Chai will warm your soul with sweet spice. Just one cup of chai keep me awake whole day and also keep me warm in winter.


Chai 1 Tablespoon
Sugar 1 Tablespoon
Water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Milk 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Spices 1/2 Teaspoon , roughly grounded (Cardamom, nutmeg, cinammon, cloves) Fresh herbs if available such as Holly Basil
Grated ginger 1/4 Teaspoon
Fresh herbs 1 Teaspoon (Holly Basil, Mint and Chai patti)



In a saucepan, add in the sugar, tea leaves, water spices, fresh herbs and ginger. Bring to a boil.

Pour milk and bring to a boil 3 – 4 times.



Strain the milk and serve.
