Sizzling Tava Chicken Dry fried Chicken cooked in spices

Nuggets of chicken are cooked on a hot sizzling tavas or pan with spices, onions and tomatoes. This popular Indian dish can be easily prepared at home. Watch the easy step by step video.

Ingredients

Chicken thigh 2 Pound , cut into 1 inch strips (Dark Meat)
For marinade
Tandoori masala 1 1/2 Tablespoon
Ginger garlic paste 1 1/2 Tablespoon
Lemon juice 1/2 (Juice of half a lemon)
Salt To Taste
Pepper To Taste
Other ingredients
Red onions 3 Large , sliced
Coriander 4 Tablespoon , chopped
Green chilies 3 , chopped finely
Green chilies 3 , sliced
Turmeric powder 1 Pinch
Coriander powder 1 Teaspoon
Chilli powder 1 Teaspoon
Ginger garlic paste 1/4 Teaspoon
Ripe roma tomatoes 3 Medium , finely cut
Clove powder 1 Pinch
Cinnamon powder 1 Pinch
Oil 5 Tablespoon

Directions

GETTING READY

Marinate the chicken overnight in the tandoori masala with the ginger and garlic paste, salt and pepper.

MAKING

In a large heated tava, pan or skillet, add the oil and then half the sliced onions.

Add 2 tbsps of the chopped coriander and fry well.

Add the chicken and cook for at least 10 – 15 mins.

Add the turmeric, coriander and chilli powder and stir frequently.

Make a well in the centre of the chicken and add the tomatoes and cook for a few minutes till the tomatoes are soft before mixing them into the chicken.

Add the sliced green chillies and the remainder of the onion.

Add the rest of the chopped coriander

Finally sprinkle with clove and cinnamon powder

SERVING

Garnish the dish with chopped coriander, or any garnish of your choice like fried onions, lemon wedges.
