Indian Tea - Chai - Ginger and Cardamom Tea

Black tea leaves are brewed with creamy milk, flavorful whole spices to give this aromatic and soothing beverage, Chai. There are many variations of making tea, here is the simplest one flavored with ginger and cardamom.

Ingredients

Black tea leaves 1 Tablespoon
Ginger piece 1 Small , crushed
Cardamom 1 Tablespoon , slightly crushed to open the pods
Whole milk 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Sugar 1 Tablespoon (Or To Taste)

Directions

MAKING

1. Pour water in a sauce pan. Add crushed ginger and cardamom to water and let it boil for a couple of minutes.

2. Add milk and tea leaves and bring everything to boil. Drop in sugar and mix it all well.

3. Close the lid and simmer for a couple of minutes.

SERVING

4. Strain immediately and serve it warm.
