Ground sausage | 1 Pound | |
Chopped red bell pepper | 3 Tablespoon | |
Grated american cheese | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
Grated sharp cheddar cheese | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
Grated monterey jack | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
Grated colby cheese | 1 Cup (16 tbs) , divided (1/2 cup for topping) | |
Butter | 2 Tablespoon | |
Flour | 2 Tablespoon | |
Milk | 2 Cup (32 tbs) | |
Hash brown | 2 Pound |
GETTING READY
1. Preheat the oven to 350F.
MAKING
2. In a frying pan, brown the sausage. When almost done add red bell pepper, drain. In a saucepan, add butter and flour. Stir and cook over medium heat for about 1 minute. Add milk, once the sauce thickens add in the cheese, cook until the cheese melts.
3. In a large bowl, mix together hash potato, sausage and the cheese sauce. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish, cover the colby cheese. Bake for 45 minutes.
SERVING
4. Cut into pieces and serve with your choice of beverage.
