Potato | 1 Pound , skin peeled | |
Sunflower oil | 4 Tablespoon | |
Butter | 2 Tablespoon | |
Salt & pepper | To Taste |
MAKING
1. In a large pan, boil the whole potatoes salted water for 10 minutes. Remove, drain and let cool.
2. Grate the potatoes with a coarse grater. Season with pepper. Add salt if needed.
3. Shape into 4 patties.
4. Heat a large non-stick skillet with oil and butter together. Pan fry hash browns over medium heat for about 10 minutes on each side, or until crisp and well-browned. Do not stir them around; just lift up around the edges periodically to check on browning.
SERVING
5. Serve hot and crispy. Do not serve cold as it would lose the crispiness.
