GETTING READY
1. In a large, heavy-duty Ziplock bag, place ginger ale, orange juice, brown sugar, vegetable oil, vinegar, dry mustard, ground ginger, and ground clove. Seal the bag and use your fingers to press the bottom of the bag together to combine marinade.
2. Open the bag and place the ham steak inside the marinade. Seal, place the packet in a bowl or on a plate. Pop the bag in refrigerator overnight, turning bag over once.
3. Preheat oven to 350 degree F.
MAKING
4. Remove ham from marinade, reserving the marinade for basting, if desired.
5. In a broiling pan, place the ham and cover loosely with aluminum foil.
6. Place the pan in oven and bake for 15 minutes on each side or until it reaches an internal temperature of 140 degree F.
7. When ham steak is almost done, remove the foil, turn oven to broil, and cook until the outer portion is browned nicely.
SERVING
8. Slice thinly and serve hot!
