How to Make Maple Glazed Ham

There is no better pair then salty and sweet and this combination comes to life with our ham and maple syrup glaze. Ham is a staple at Easter time for our family but this recipe would also be great for those first time entertainers throughout the year.

Ingredients

For maple glazed ham
Spiral ham 4 Pound (3
For glaze
Pure maple syrup 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Brown sugar 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Dijon mustard 1 Teaspoon
Cinnamon 1 Teaspoon

Directions

GETTING READY

1. Preheat oven to 325 degree F.

MAKING

2. For glaze, in a small saucepan, add maple syrup, brown sugar, Dijon mustard and cinnamon. Place the pan over medium heat and cook for about 5 minutes or until sugar dissolves

3. In a roasting pan, place ham and insert a digital thermometer into the middle of the ham. With a piece of foil cover the pan. Put the ham in the oven and cook until the internal temperature reaches 144 degree.

4. Baste ham with glaze every 15 minutes. Remove the ham from oven and allow it to rest for 10 minutes before carving.

SERVING

5. Serve and enjoy!

TIPS

You can also baste using:

For Soy and Orange Glaze:

Reduced sodium soy sauce- ¼ cup

Orange- 1, juice, zest

Brown sugar- ¼ cup

MAKING

In a saucepan, combine soy sauce, orange zest, orange juice, and brown sugar. Stir well and cook on medium heat until sugar has dissolved.
