Glazed Barbecued Ham

Ham/Rolled ham 7 Pound (half, ready
Whole cloves 1 Teaspoon
Brown sugar/Maple 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Cola/Ginger ale 2 Cup (32 tbs)
Ground cinnamon 1/2 Teaspoon
Pineapple cubes 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)



1. Remove the rind of ham and cut the fat diagonally to make it appear like a diamond.

2. Tuck a clove in each fatty diamond.

3. Prepare the barbecue grill by opening the dampers in cover and bottom and light the coals.


4. Arrange about 25 briquettes on each side of a grilling pan and keep the foil dripping pan in the middle of the grill.

5. During the time of preparation the keep the top grill directly over the foil pan.

6. Arrange the briquettes directly on the grilling pan such that they lie on the top of foil pan.

7. Cover the pan and start barbecuing the ham. Cook by counting 10 minutes for each pound.

8. Add 8 briquettes on side of pan during every hour.

9. Take a bowl; add ginger ale or cola, brown sugar or maple and cinnamon. Use this mixture as a basting sauce.

10. Baste the top of ham with this mixture in every 20 minutes of cooking.


11. Remove the cooked ham from barbecuing grill and place it on the hot platter.


12. Serve the glazed barbecued ham after garnishing with pineapple cubes.
