Like most kids, my son loves Hamburger Helper meals. I wasn't to thrilled about the ingredients so I started making a homemade version of his favorite flavor Cheeseburger Macaroni. He loves it and has never questioned it so it's a winner in my book. This meal comes together just as quick as the box version and it has real ingredients and no msg.

Ground beef/Ground turkey 1 Pound
Onion 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) , diced
Butter 1 Tablespoon (Optional)
Milk 2 Cup (32 tbs)
Cold water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Uncooked elbow macaroni 2 Cup (32 tbs)
Sugar 1/2 Teaspoon
Salt/Seasoning salt 1 Teaspoon
Black pepper 1/4 Teaspoon
Oregano 3/4 Teaspoon
Parsley 3/4 Teaspoon
Garlic powder 3/4 Teaspoon
Chili powder 1/2 Teaspoon
Paprika 1 Teaspoon
Cheddar cheese 2 Cup (32 tbs) , shredded
