Taco Pizza

Taco Pizza!!! Cornbread crust with taco toppings.


For cornmeal pizza crust:
Cornmeal 3/4 Cup (12 tbs)
All purpose flour 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Baking powder 1 Teaspoon
Salt 1 Teaspoon
Milk 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Melted butter 4 Tablespoon , divided
For topping:
Taco filling 2 Cup (32 tbs)
Grated cheese 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Garnishes 1 Cup (16 tbs) (to taste, shreded lettuce, chopped green onions, diced tomato, sour cream, salsa)



Preheat oven to 400°F.



Melt butter in cast iron skillet.

In a bowl, combine cornmeal, all purpose flour, baking powder, salt, milk and mix well.

Transfer the mixture into cast iron skillet and pop into oven.

Bake for 10-15 minutes.

Once done, spread taco filling on top and sprinkle cheese over it.

Pop into oven again and bake for another 5 minutes.

Allow to cool and garnish as desired.

Slice into wedges before serving.



Serve and enjoy!
