Black Bean Burgers Recipe for National Burger Day.

Ingredients

Black beans 30 Ounce ((((2 15oz cans))))
Dry breadcrumbs 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Garlic powder 1/2 Teaspoon
Onion powder 1/2 Teaspoon
Ground cumin 1/2 Teaspoon
Paprika 1/2 Teaspoon
Egg 1
Salt and pepper To Taste
Monterey jack cheese slice 4
Olive oil 2 Tablespoon ((((for grilling))))
Hamburger buns 4 ((((toasted))))
Mayonnaise 4 Tablespoon
Tomato slices 4
Lettuce pieces 4

Directions

Making

Place the black beans on a flat surface and mash them well with a fork.

Place in a bowl and add the breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, paprika, and egg. Mix together well.

Form this mixture into four patties, then grill them on a griddle or in a skillet over medium high heat for 5 minutes on each side, until golden brown.

Serving

Prepare the burgers as desired, with mayonnaise spread on the buns, and with lettuce, tomato, and melted cheese.
