Matcha Crème Brûlée (Green Tea Creme Brulee)

How to Make Creme Brulee


Heavy cream 100 Milliliter
Milk 80 Milliliter
Sugar 3 Tablespoon , divided
Matcha green tea 1/2 Tablespoon
Egg yolk 2



1. Preheat the oven to 140 degrees C.


2. In a sausepan, pour the milk and heavy cream. Seive matcha green tea powder in the pan and stir to dissolve.

3. In a bowl put the egg yolks and beat lightly. Add sugar and whisk thoroghly to combine.

4. Add the egg mixture to the pot and heat it on low heat while stirring constantly.

5. Strain this mixture through a mesh strainer.

6. Place 4 ramekins in a deep cake pan, and pour the prepared mixture in to each ramekin dividing evenly.

7. Place the cake pan in the oven and pour some hot water in to the pan until the ramekins are halfway submerged. Bake for about 20 - 25 minutes.

8. Remove the ramekins from the cake tin and place them on a cooling rack.

9. Place the ramekins on a tray and sprinkle some sugar on top of each ramekin. Using a blow torch caramalize the sugar evenly.

10. Chill the creme brulee in the fridge for about 10 minutes.


11. Serve as a dessert.
