Bananas Flambé With Cinnamon

Ingredients

Sweet red wine 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Brown sugar 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Orange rind 1 Teaspoon , grated
Ground cinnamon 1/2 Teaspoon
Ground nutmeg 1/2 Teaspoon
Ground cloves 1/4 Teaspoon
Bananas 6
Lemon 1 , juiced
Chopped almonds 1 Tablespoon
Rum 4 Tablespoon
Cream/Ice cream 1 Tablespoon (For Serving)

Directions

MAKING

1. Into flambee pan heat wine, sugar, orange rind and spices gently, with frequent stirring such that sugar is melted.

2. Peel bananas and sprinkle well with lemon juice.

3. Poach the bananas in syrup gently such that soft and tender.

SERVING

4. To garnish sprinkle with almonds, pour rum over, ignite and serve with cream or ice cream.
