In this video, Betty demonstrates how to make Chocolate Silk Frosting. This frosting may be used for cakes or cupcakes.
Semisweet chocolate chips | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Half and half | 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
Butter | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Confectioners sugar | 2 1/2 Cup (40 tbs) |
MAKING
1. Place a medium saucepan on medium flame and combine chocolate chips, half-and half, and butter in it.
2. Stir constantly and cook until mixture is melted and smooth. Remove saucepan from heat.
3. In a large bowl full of ice cubes, place the saucepan.
4. Throw sugar, a little at a time and with an electric mixer on medium speed beat until frosting is spreadable and holds its shape.
5. Remove saucepan from ice.
SERVING
6. Spread frosting on cupcakes and serve.
TIPS
You can use only milk or cream in the frosting.
