People's favorite Buttercream Frosting or Icing recipe. Buttercream is a mix of Butter, Sugar, Cream and Vanilla mixed together to form such a frosting that can be used as a filling of a cake, or topping/icing of a cake. This is and can be used in any cake, and this can be flavored into any flavor. Whether its chocolate buttercream, lemon buttercream, strawberry, etc.. This light, fluffy, creamy, sweet icing is adored by almost everyone.
Unsalted butter | 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) (Room temperature) | |
Sugar | 1 Cup (16 tbs) , sifted | |
Cream/Low fat cream | 1 1/2 Tablespoon | |
Vanilla | 2 Drop (few drops as per taste) |
MAKING
In a mixing bowl, add butter. Preferably use hand mixer and mix it well. It would work best if the butter is at room temperature.
Add in the sugar in batches and beat it well.
Add ½ tablespoon cream and beat. Add more if required.
Add vanilla to flavor the butter cream. Beat it for 4-5 mins till the butter cream is fluffy.
SERVING
Put the buttercream in a piping bag and decorate away.
