This video shows you how to make thick-cut garlic herb steak fries. They're super easy to make, all you have to do is cut them into wedges, season with some garlic powder and dried herbs, salt and pepper, add some oil, and throw in the oven.
Russet potatoes | 2 Pound | |
Garlic powder | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Dried thyme | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
Dried oregano | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
Vegetable oil | 2 Tablespoon | |
Pepper | To Taste | |

GETTING READY
1. Preheat oven to 400 degree F.
2. Scrub potato skin with stiff brush and remove dirt, if you want to prepare fries with skin or remove the peel with peeler.
3. Cut potatoes into wedges and set aside.
MAKING
4. In a large mixing bowl, take wedged potatoes. Season it with garlic powder, thyme, oregano, salt, and pepper.
5. Drizzle vegetable oil and toss to coat well.
6. On a sheet pan, lay potato wedges in single layer. Do not over crowd the sheet.
7. Pop the pan in oven and bake for 30 minutes or until fries are tender on the inside and golden brown on the bottom.
SERVING
8. Season fries with extra salt, if desired and serve hot.
TIPS
Baking time depends on the thickness of the potatoes so you must keep a watch while baking.
