How to Make a "French Fruit Tart"

A fruit tart makes a lovely finale to any meal.
Learn how to make one... the french way ) Bon appetit !


Raspberries 1 1/2 Cup (24 tbs)
Blueberries 1 1/2 Cup (24 tbs)
Strawberries 1 1/2 Cup (24 tbs) , trimmed (and ends cut)
Milk 2 Cup (32 tbs)
Eggs yolks 4
Sugar 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Flour 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Vanilla extract 1 Teaspoon
Pastry dough 1
For glaze
Fruit jam/Fruit jelly 1 Cup (16 tbs)



1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.


For Shell:

2. Unroll the pastry dough into the tart pan, press it from the sides and prick the dough using a fork.

3. Place dried beans inside the tart pan, bake it in the preheated oven, middle rack for 12 minutes.

4. Remove the tart from the oven and remove the beans, set aside.

For Custard:

5. In a saucepan pour milk and bring it to a boil, add vanilla extract, stir and simmer.

6. In a bowl combine sugar with egg yolks, whisk until smooth. Add flour little at a time and keep whisking until smooth.

7. Remove the saucepan from heat and add the egg and flour mixture, whisk to combine.

8. Bring the milk mixture to a boil and whisk constantly. Set aside when well combined.

For Glaze:

9. In another saucepan add the fruit jam or jelly. Place over medium heat cook the jam into a glaze. Add water to dilute the glaze.


10. Add the custard mixture to the tart shell and spread it evenly using a spoon.

11. Place the strawberries, raspberries and blueberries. Brush the berries with the glaze using a pastry brush.


12. Serve after a hearty meal.
