Carrots Lyonnaise In A Healthier Way

Lyonnaise usually reminds of potatoes and so this recipe would really taste unique with carrots! I love the appetizing color of the dish and this is my family favorite now!

Ingredients

Carrot 32 Ounce , cut lengthwise into strips
Onion 1 Medium , sliced
Chicken gravy 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Low fat butter 1 Tablespoon
Water 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Salt To Taste
Pepper To Taste

Directions

GETTING READY

1. In medium covered saucepan cook onion in butter, for about 8 minutes or till tender but not brown.

MAKING

2. Stir in chicken gravy.

3. Stir in water; cook and stir till the contents get thickened and bubbly.

4. Add carrots; cook and stir till heated through.

5. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

SERVING

6. Serve hot with boiled or steamed rice.
