Meringue is a frothy mixture made from whipped egg whites and sugar and is used as a topping for pies and pastries.


Egg white 3
Cream of tartar 1 Teaspoon
Vanilla extarct 1/2 Teaspoon
Sugar 3/4 Cup (12 tbs)



1.  In a bowl, add egg whites, cream of tartar, and vanilla extract. 

2.  Using an egg whisk or a hand mixer, start blending on medium speed.

3.  Gradually start adding sugar to the eggs and continue whisking on high speed until soft, glossy peaks form.



4.  Use as desired.
