You guys have requested I do non-alcoholic drink recipes, so I'm launching a miniseries with beautiful, fruity, colorful drinks, none involving alcohol so kids and adults can both enjoy! This Triple Melon Sorbet float has watermelon, honeydew, cantaloupe, fresh mint, lemon sorbet, and seltzer water, for a fruity, fizzy, fun drink. My brothers and I made variations of this growing up, and would sometimes add a little heavy cream to it to make it creamy (we were obsessed with Italian cream sodas).
Assorted melon balls (watermelon, honeydew, cantaloupe)
2 scoops lemon, raspberry, or other fruity sorbet
fresh mint leaves | ||
seltzer water |
Making
Freeze the melon balls for at least three hours until frozen.
To make the drink, put the sorbet into the bottom of a glass, then top with the frozen melon balls.
Drop in fresh mint (anywhere from a couple leaves to a handful), then top with seltzer water.
Let the sorbet melt to sweeten and flavor the drink.
