Chili Garlic Seared Fish

Fish fillet 2 (Any meaty fish)
Granulated garlic 3 Tablespoon
Lemon juice 2 Tablespoon
Red chili paste 2 Tablespoon
Onion powder 2 Tablespoon
Coriander leaves 2 Tablespoon , chopped finely
Onions slice 5 Medium
Lemon wedges 4 Medium
Oil 2 Tablespoon
Salt 2 Pinch



1)On a plate place the fish fillets and apply oil.

2)Apply a tablespoon of red chili paste and lemon juice on each fillet and rub into the fish.

3)Sprinkle granulated garlic, onion powder and salt on both sides and set the fish aside for 3 hours.


4)On a medium hot pan place the marinated fish and let it sizzle. Close the lid and let it cook on each side for 2 minutes.

5)Once the fish is caramelized leave it in the pan to maintain the juiciness of the fish.


6)Serve on a platter with onion and coriander sprinkled on top and lemon wedges on the side and enjoy!


There is very less salt and oil used in this recipe for all those people who are trying to avoid sodium and cholesterol. You can however make this dish with butter for added flavor.
