Pork steak in Filipino style is an exotic preparation and tastes best with hot rice. Enjoy its irresistible taste with minimal calories and increased health benefits!

Lean pork 1 Kilogram (Pork cuts,Pork chops or loin)
Lemon juice 2 Tablespoon
Red onion rings 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Garlic 3 Clove (15 gm)
Low sodium soy sauce 1/3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
Sugar 1 Teaspoon
Water 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Black pepper 1/4 Teaspoon
Low calorie oil 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)

1. In a pot or sauce pan, place the pork cuts.

2. In a bowl add garlic, soy sauce, lemon juice and black pepper and mix it like a marinade.

3. Add the pork to the marinade, bathe it in the marinade for 5 minutes.

4. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes or until pork becomes tender.

5. Remove pork from the pot and set aside. Keep the marinade and use it for making the sauce later.

6. In a nonstick frying pan, heat some cooking oil. Stir-fry the pre-cooked pork cuts until golden brown on both sides. Keep heat at medium because the soy sauce in the pork can easily burn.

7. Drain excess oil and put fried pork on the serving dish.

8. In the same pan and oil where the pork is fried, stir fry the onion rings very quickly for about a minute until it turns translucent yet firm.

9. Top onion rings on the plated pork and serve right away.
