Lechon Manok

That's a tagalog word for "It's delicious!" lechon manok is the roast chicken of the Philippines.Marinaded whole chicken in a mixture of fish sauce, soy sauce, onions and garlic. it's G O O D in any language!


Whole chicken 1
Fish sauce 1/2 Cup (8 tbs) ((Three Crabs))
Soy sauce 2 Tablespoon
Garlic 20 Clove (100 gm) , chopped
Soy sauce 2 Tablespoon
Brown sugar 1 Tablespoon
Lime juice 4 Tablespoon ((From 2 limes))
Onion 1 , cut up
Bay leaves 2
Lemon grass bulb 6
Ground pepper To Taste
Pink salt To Taste



1. Take fish sauce, soy sauce, garlic, onion, brown sugar and black pepper in a big bowl. Mix well.

2. Add lemon juice to the bowl and set this marinade aside.

3. Season chicken all over with salt and then place it in a zip loc bag. Pour the marinade over the chicken, seal the bag and place it in refrigerator overnight.

4. Prepare the grill for cooking.


5. Remove the chicken from the marinade. Place bay leaves in the cavity.

6. Brusie up the lemon grass and stick it in the cavity.

7. Place the chicken on a plank on a grill.

8. Insert a thermometer in the breast and cook until it reaches an internal temperature of 175 F.


9. Slice and serve the chicken. Enjoy.
