Monggo Guisado Recipe


Mung bean 1 1/4 Cup (20 tbs) , soaked overnight
Fish flakes 3/4 Cup (12 tbs)
Fresh spinach 500 Gram
Bagoong isda 2 Tablespoon
Yellow onion 1 Small
Diced tomatoes 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Minced garlic 1 Tablespoon
Water 2 Cup (32 tbs)
Black pepper To Taste
Cooking oil 2 Tablespoon



1. Heat the cooking oil in a pan and saute the onion and garlic, cook until onion is soft.

2. Add the fish flakes and continue to cook over medium heat for 1 to 2 minutes.

3. Add the tomatoes, stir in and cook for another 1 minute.

4. Add in the mung beans, stir to mix. Add bagoong isda, and 1 cup water. Cover and cook for 15 to 18 minutes. Add more water if necessary.

5. Sprinkle some ground black pepper and then add the spinach. Stir.

6. Add more water (around 1 cup or more as needed). Allow to boil and cook for another 5 minutes.


7. Transfer to a serving bowl. Serve and enjoy!
