Apple Butter Pie


9 inch single crust pie pastry 1 , unbaked
Sugar 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
All purpose flour 3 Tablespoon
Apple butter 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Melted butter 2 Tablespoon
Eggs 2 , well beaten
Milk 1 1/2 Cup (24 tbs)
Light cream 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Ground nutmeg 1/2 Teaspoon


Use pastry to line a 9-inch pie pan, fluting a high edge.

Mix sugar with flour.

Gradually stir in apple butter and melted butter.

Beat eggs with milk and cream.

Beat into apple-butter mixture.

Pour into pastry-lined pie pan.

Sprinkle top with nutmeg.

Bake in preheated moderate oven (350°F.) for 50 to 60 minutes, or until a knife inserted comes out clean.

Cool on a rack.
