Scottish Barley Meal Scones

Milk 2 Cup (32 tbs)
Salt 1 Teaspoon
Oil 3 Tablespoon
Barley meal 3 Cup (48 tbs)


Combine milk, oil and salt in saucepan.

Gradually bring to boil.

Remove; from heat.

Stir in enough barley meal to make thick dough.

Allow dough to stand for 5 minutes.

Then roll it out to 1/4-inch thickness.

Cut into rounds.

Brown on each side on hot, unoiled soapstone griddle or in heated, oiled pan.
