Good Food Ireland - QC's Baked Crabmeat with Avocado and Tomato Salsa by QC's Seafood Bar, Restaurant Townhouse Cahirsiveen, Co. Kerry.


Crabmeat 12 Ounce
Unsalted butter 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Fresh red chilies 1/2 Teaspoon
Chopped garlic 1/2 Teaspoon
Fresh cream 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Salt To Taste , divided
Lemon 1/2 , juice extracted
Cilantro 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
For the salsa
Zest of lime 1/2
Lime 1/2 , juice extracted
Granulated sugar 1/2 Teaspoon
Salt To Taste
Ripe avocado 1 , chopped
Peeled and seeded ripe tomatoes 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Chopped red onion 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Chopped red chili 1 Teaspoon



1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees F.


2. Place a heavy based pan over the heat and add in the butter, garlic and red chili. Let it cook for a minute.

3. Add in the cream and season with some salt; let it reduce down by half.

4. Stir in the crabmeat and lemon juice and cook for a minute. Season with salt and mix well.

5. Divide the mixture into 4 ramekins and bake for seven minutes.

6. For the salsa in a medium bowl, combine together lime zest, lime juice, lemon juice, salt and sugar.

7. Add in the remaining ingredient and toss well.


8. Serve baked crab meat along with avocado salsa.
