How to Cook Guilt-Free Fish and Chips

Try these recipes for baked tilapia with sweet potato steak fries and a tangy lime mayonnaise, all of which are pretty guilt-free, just in time for Lent.

Ingredients

For chips
Sweet potato 400 Gram , peeled, wedged
Ghee 1 1/2 Tablespoon (1
Salt and pepper To Taste
For fish
Wholemeal breadcrumbs 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Eggs 1 Large , lightly beaten
Tilapia filets 500 Gram (or any freshwater fish)
For lime mayo dip
Whole egg mayonnaise 5 Tablespoon
Plain greek yogurt 5 Tablespoon
Lime 1/2 , zest and juice (or use lemon, orange etc)
Cayenne pepper 1 Dash

Directions

GETTING READY

1. Preheat oven to 392 degree F or 200 degree C.

2. Peel potato, if desired and cut into 1 cm wedges.

3. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside.

MAKING

For Chips:

4. In a bowl, place sweet potato and toss them with ghee, salt, and pepper. Arrange them on lined baking sheet, pop in oven and bake for 20 minutes, flipping once about halfway through.

For Fish:

5. In a plate, place breadcrumb and season it with salt and pepper.

6. Dip fish fillet in egg, coat with breadcrumb and place on lined baking sheet.

7. Pop the baking sheet in oven and bake until cooked through and the crust becomes golden brown.

For Lime Mayo Dip:

8. In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, yogurt, lime zest, lime juice, salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper.

SERVING

9. Serve fish with sweet potato, dip, and salad.
