Healthy Turkey Meatloaf Recipe - Eat Clean

Looking for a healthy and affordable recipe to make on Sunday for dinner during a busy week? This healthy turkey meatloaf recipe uses ground turkey, oatmeal, and a variety of spices for a flavorful dish.

Ingredients

For the meatloaf
Ground turkey 1 Pound
Carrot 2 Large , chopped
Celery stalk 3 Medium , chopped
White onion 1/2 Medium , chopped
Salt 1/8 Teaspoon ((to taste))
Garlic powder 1 Tablespoon ((to taste))
Black pepper 1 Teaspoon
Chilli powder 1 Teaspoon
Dry mustard powder 1 Teaspoon
Thyme 1/4 Teaspoon
Rolled oats 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Egg white 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) ((or from 3 eggs))
For the glaze (optional)
Ketchup 2 Tablespoon
Worcestershire sauce 2 Tablespoon
Chilli powder 1/2 Teaspoon ((to taste))

Directions

GETTING READY

1.Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

2.In a small bowl mix the ingredients of the glaze and set aside (this is an optional step).

MAKING

3.In a bowl add all the ingredient of the meatloaf other than turkey and mix well till combined. Add the ground turkey and continue to mix till they are mixed.

4.Fill a non stick muffin pan with the mixture using ice cream scoop or spoon. Spread them gently to even the surface.

5.Bake for around 35 minutes or till done. Remove from the oven and glaze them (if desired) and continue to bake for another 5 minutes. Remove from the oven and let them sit for a few minutes.

SERVING

6.In a serving plate, serve the meatloaf warm with salad or potato mash or with the glaze as dip.
