Meringue Tarts with Strawberries

Ingredients

Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Baking powder 1/2 Teaspoon
Salt 1/8 Teaspoon
Egg whites 3
Vanilla 1 Teaspoon
Vinegar 1 Teaspoon
Water 1 Teaspoon
Sliced strawberries 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)

Directions

MAKING

1) Into a bowl, sift together the sugar, baking powder and salt

2) Mix together the water and vinegar

3) Whip the egg whites, adding the sugar mixture 1/2 a teaspoon by teaspoon alternating with the liquid

4) Once combined, onto a baking sheet, drop spoonfuls of the mixture

5) Bake for 45 minutes at 225 F

6) Take out the meringues from the sheet and allow to cool onto a wire rack

7) Fill the meringues with the freshly sliced strawberries and cream

SERVING

8) Serve at room temperature
