Herbed Buttermilk Stroganoff

Boneless beef round steak 3/4 Pound , cut into 3x1/4 inch strips
Sliced fresh mushrooms 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Sliced onions 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Water 1/2 Cup (8 tbs)
Dry white wine/Beef broth 1/3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
Tomato juice 3 Tablespoon
Beef flavor instant bouillon 1 Teaspoon
Salt 1/2 Teaspoon
Dried thyme leaves 1/4 Teaspoon
Dried rosemary leaves 1/4 Teaspoon
Pepper 1/8 Teaspoon
Flour 2 Tablespoon
Low fat buttermilk 3/4 Cup (12 tbs)
Hot cooked noodles 2 Cup (32 tbs)
Chopped fresh parsley 2 Tablespoon



1) Take a large skillet and spray non-stick cooking spray on it.

2) Place over medium-high heat until hot enough.

3) Add mushrooms, onions and beef.

4) Cook until beef turns light brown in color. Drain, if required.

5) Stir in wine, water, bouillon, tomato juice, thyme, rosemary, pepper and salt.

6) Cover and reduce heat. Simmer for about 45 minutes or until meat turns tender, stirring constantly.

7) Take a small bowl and blend flour with 1/4 cup buttermilk in it using a wire whisk. Blend in the remaining 1/2 cup buttermilk until smooth.

8) Add beef mixture and cook over medium heat until the mixture begins to boil and thicken, stirring constantly.


9) Pour the sauce over cooked noodles. Sprinkle parsley and serve immediately.
