Stroganoff for A Crowd

Ingredients

Beef round steak 8 Pound
Crisco 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Pepper 1/4 Teaspoon
Chopped onions 2 Cup (32 tbs)
Garlic 2 Clove (10 gm) , minced
Canned sliced mushrooms 12 Ounce (2 Cans, 6 Ounce Each)
Condensed cream of mushroom soup 42 Ounce (4 Cans, 10 1/2 Ounce Each)
Condensed beef broth 10 1/2 Ounce (1 Can)
Tomato paste 6 Ounce (1 Can)
Dairy sour cream 3 Cup (48 tbs)
Noodles 18 Ounce , cooked

Directions

GETTING READY

1 Freeze the meat partially for easier cutting.

2 Cut the meat into 2x1/2-inch strips.

MAKING

3 In large pan or Dutch oven, heat Crisco.

4 Brown meat in it a pound at a time.

5 Return all the meat to pan.

6 Sprinkle generously with pepper.

7 Add in onion, garlic, and mushrooms.

8 In a bowl, mix soup, broth, and tomato paste, blending until smooth.

9 Add to the meat.

10 Simmer, covered until the meat is tender, about 1 1/4 hours, stirring occasionally.

11 Stir some of hot mixture into sour cream and return to the hot mixture.

12 Heat throughly, but do not boil.

SERVING

13 Best served over hot noodles.
