Stroganoff Sandwich

Unsliced french bread loaf 1
Ground beef 1 Pound
Chopped green onion 1/4 Cup (4 tbs)
Dairy sour cream 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Milk 1 Tablespoon
Worcestershire sauce 1 Teaspoon
Salt 3/4 Teaspoon
Garlic powder 1/8 Teaspoon
Butter/Margarine 1 Tablespoon , softened
Tomatoes 2 , sliced
Green pepper 1 , cut into rings
Sharp process american cheese 4 Ounce , shredded to make 1 cup



1. Preheat oven to 375° Fahrenheit.

2. Lengthwise cut loaf into half and wrap in foil.


3. In a skillet, brown beef with onion; drain off fat.

4. Add sour cream, milk, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and garlic powder; stir well and heat, do not boil.

5. Apply butter on the cut side of the bread.

6. Spoon half of the meat mixture on top of each bread and spread evenly.

7. Top surface with slices of tomato and green pepper rings.

8. Sprinkle cheese on top.

9. Place bread on a baking sheet and bake in preheated oven for 5 minutes.


10. Cut each bread into 4 slices and serve.
