Breadcrumbs | 2 Tablespoon |
Preheat oven to 450°F.
Cut potatoes into thin slices but not quite through to the lower edge, so that the slices hold together.
Place potatoes, with slices up, into a well-buttered casserole.
Sprinkle with salt and dot with butter.
Bake for 20 minutes, basting occasionally with the melted butter.
Sprinkle with cheese and breadcrumbs and bake for another 25 minutes without basting.
