Lemon Posset is a traditional British dessert, made with only three ingredients! Double Cream is combined with sugar and freshly squeezed lemon juice, then heated. Poured into serving glasses and chilled until set, this rich, creamy dessert is perfect for dinner parties - give it a go!
|Double cream||300 Milliliter ((min. 51% milk fat content))|
|Castor sugar||1/3 Cup (5.33 tbs) ((Super Fine White Sugar))|
|Freshly squeezed lemon juice||1/3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Grated lemon zest||1/2 Teaspoon ((for topping))|
Heat a saucepan with cream, castor sugar and stir well until sugar is dissolved.
Bring to boil and then reduce the temperature.
Simmer for 3 minutes and remove from heat.
Add lemon juice and stir well. Allow to stand for 5 minutes.
Transfer to serving glasses and refrigerate for 4 hours.
Garnish with lemon rind.
