On this video we turn the Traeger Texas Pro Grill into a baking machine and kick out some of the best pretzels I have ever had. You have to try this one. Enjoy.
Hot water | 1 Cup (16 tbs) (105 degrees F) | |
Active dry yeast | 1/4 Ounce | |
Bread flour | 2 3/4 Cup (44 tbs) | |
Sugar | 1 Tablespoon | |
Vegetable oil | 1 Tablespoon (For greasing) | |
Flour | 2 Tablespoon (For dusting) | |
Water | 6 Cup (96 tbs) | |
Baking soda | 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) | |
Kosher salt | 4 Dash |
GETTING READY
Preheat the Traeger Pellet Grill to 45 degrees F. Line a baking tray with parchment paper and set aside.
In a mixing bowl, pour hot water and active dry yeast let it bloom for 5 minutes.
Meanwhile, in a large bowl, mix together bread flour and sugar.
Add the flour mixture to the yeast mixture and mix using a dough mixer; start from low speed, followed by medium the high.
Take out the dough in a bowl and grease with oil. Cover with towel and let it sit for 30 minutes.
MAKING
Punch the dough and take out on a wooden surface.
Dust the dough with some flour and knead for a minute.
Divide the dough into 4 equal portions and shape according to your preference. Let it sit for a few minutes
Meanwhile, in a large pot boil the water with baking soda.
Place the dough into the boiling water and cook for 2 – 3 minutes each side.
Take out the dough from the water and make some cuts. Season with some kosher salt and place over the prepared baking tray. Bake for 12 – 15 minutes.
SERVING
Serve the buns with some grilled veggies.
