Cheddar Chive Scones

Flour 1 1/2 Cup (24 tbs)
Sugar 1 Tablespoon
Salt 1 Pinch
Pepper To Taste
Baking powder 2 Teaspoon
Butter 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Egg 1
Egg yolk 1
Milk 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Heavy cream 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Cheddar cheese 1 Cup (16 tbs) , shredded
Chives 2 Tablespoon , chopped finely



1.  Preheat the oven.

2.  Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.



3.  In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, pepper and baking powder. Mix well.

4.  In a food processor, add the flour mixture followed by cold butter and process until the mixture forms a crumbly texture.

5.  Add in the egg and egg yolk and continue blending.

6.  Pour in the heavy cream and milk, blend once again.

7.  Add shredded cheddar cheese and chives, blend until well combined.

8.  Spread some flour on a flat surface and transfer the prepared dough on it. Knead with the heels of your palms and then roll out with a rolling pin about 1/2 inch thick, as shown in the video.

9.  Cut out scones with a cookie cutter.and place them on the parhment lined baking sheet.

10. Brush the tops with some cream and bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown.




11. Serve warm.
