Looking for a special St. Patrick's Day treat that doesn't involve that tacky bright green color?! Try my super delicious baked doughnuts. Less calories than the traditional fried doughnuts but just as delicious.
All purpose flour | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Unsweetened cocoa powder | 1/3 Cup (5.33 tbs) | |
Baking powder | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Brown sugar | 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) | |
Granulated sugar | 1/4 Cup (4 tbs) | |
Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
Guinness stout | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Egg | 1 , whisked | |
Melted butter | 1/3 Cup (5.33 tbs) | |
Cooking spray | 2 Dash | |
For glaze | ||
Powdered sugar | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Baileys | 1 Teaspoon |
GETTING READY
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Grease the doughnut pan with cooking spray and set aside.
MAKING
In a large bowl, add in all the dry ingredients and mix well.
Pour in the Guinness and mix well.
Place the batter in a Ziploc bag and snip the tip.
Pour the batter into the prepared doughnut pan and bake for 12 minutes.
Take out the doughnut from the oven and let it cool.
Meanwhile, prepare the glaze – in a large bowl, add in the powdered sugar and baileys. Mix well.
FINALIZING
Dip the top of doughnuts into the glaze and let it set.
SERVING
Serve the doughnuts with some raspberry preserve.
